I’m a huge fan of liquid higlighters and Nars Orgasm Illuminator is one of my favorites. I’ve been using it on and off for a few years and almost used up an entire tube. The texture is super sheer and silky and leaves a subtle and natural healthy glow on the skin. I think it’s a lot more natural looking compared to most powder highlighters. This is the highlighter I grab when I still want to look glam but more understated.

Color
Nars Orgasm Illuminator is a light peachy and pink color that veers towards the warm side. It’s not glittery or shiny but it does leave a light sheen on the face. It’s a universal shade that should flatter a large number of different skin tones.
It makes your skin look more alive and instantly healthier. I think those with mature skin will also like this as it makes skin look instantly more youthful without adding excessive shimmer.
Formula
The texture is super sheer and lightweight; it’s almost light gel-like and watery. It blends out easily. It can be blended onto the face using a beauty blender or just your fingers. Personally I like to use my fingers.
Use
You can also try applying with a “patting” motion if you want a more pronounced highlighting effect. I generally like to apply it to my cheekbones. This may sound a bit strange but I also like to pat a bit on my lips and layer a peachy/pink lipstick on top. It’s a versatile product that can also be mixed with foundations for a glowier and more dewy effect.
Packaging
It’s packaged in a plastic squeeze tube that’s see through. I like the fact that it’s transparent because it allows me to see how much product there is left. The squeeze-it packaging also allows me to easily control the amount that comes out and not waste any product.

I’ve had this tube for a least 4 years now and as you can see I still got a lot left. You probably don’t want to keep yours this long as it probably has an expiration date but mine is still working fine without any discoloration or funky smells. A little bit goes a long way with this illuminator.
Value
The value is quite good; you get 1.1 oz of product in tube which is a lot of highlighter. I can’t imagine anyone using this up in a year. Partly because it’s mainly a cheek highlighter; I don’t really see this as a browbone or nose highlighter for most people. I’ve had my tube for over 4 years and it’s still good; it’s not funky and hasn’t gone bad. As a result, I think it’s a great value because it has lasted me so long despite the initial high price.
Overall Rating
Nars Orgasm Illuminator is a super sheer and lightweight highlighter that looks gorgeous when dabbed on the cheeks. It’s a sheer peachy pink color with micro-shimmer. It can also be mixed with foundation for a dewier appearance. It’s an excellent value as you get a large amount of product which should last for a long time.
